Hurricane Helene relief
In late September 2024, my adopted hometown was devastated by Hurricane Helene while I was working in Antarctica. This picturesque corner of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the generous community that calls it home have suffered a truly catastrophic loss and will never be the same.
